Please can my year 8 classes complete this survey once only. This will help us in the setting of homework and in the provision of computers outside lesson times.
Hi Mr Little its Jack Lenihan-Smith in 8.0. I think people do music privacy because they have nothing else to do and don't really understand it's a crime. Also they may have too much spare time with a reliable computer in a confidental place, another reason is that their parents may be techno freaks and don't have a clue about what to do on the internet. The people who do it may be clever enough to delete the history and download secreatly. I think the parents should move the computer and limit the time spent on it. They should also check what the child is doing every hour or so, therefore they won't be able to do it.
Hannah Dent here! Mr Little asked us to publish our views on Music Piracy, so here's mine! I think it's bad that people should choose to open their own files, and let complete strangers look at the files from your OWN computer! I, personally, wouldn't do it, but some people do! i think the reason people do it is so they can claim the glory. also, people do it probably without even knowing its as bad as it is. byeee!

Hi! It's me Abbie Leggott. Even though everybody may use illegal documents to get music, they don't really know that it is, because lots of people go on limewire and other websites where you download documents, and don't even know that it's illegal. But the ones that do know, may just be doing it, because they can't be bothered to buy something out of there own money and maybe, they want to do what everybody else does, so that they can stay friends with a cool image.

To add to the discussion about music piracy I think people would not do it if sites like iTunes cost less because if it is free on bearshare or limewire the majority of people are going use the free soure. Also I have heard that it is legal to dowload music from the internet and illegal to upload it from the internet so people may not know they are doing anything wrong. There are risks from free sites like these but people should be taught of them because when you are using them you are sharing your files and folders with the world. hazelxbrunette
Hi it's Annabelle Speed 8.0. Personally I do not agree with music piracy. Firstly the documents that pass between the computers may contain viruses or things that can damage your computer. Also the information that the other person recieves whether friend or stranger they may use it in a bad way and hack your computer and accounts and get hold of your personal details. I think the people who do it know that it is illegal but just do it to look cool. However some children may not know that what they are doing is wrong and when children first use a computer their parents should go through the 'do's and don'ts' of the computer and tell them that piracy is wrong and you could get into serious trouble if you do it!
Hi mr little james Buckton here from 82a and 8jb I personley dissagree with music piracy it may get you into lost of trouble by the [police and your parents.I pessonly think police should allways check once in a while your computers on random checks and to see if you are coping music from illegal websites such as lime wire or tune4u.
By the way, I'm in 8-0!I'd like to add that people may not realize that it is illegal to commercialize their own files, and do it for possibly something to do. Also, computers should be in a place accessable to the whole household, to prevent things like music piracy from occuring.

Bonjour! Kieffer from 8:3a here, my thoughts on music piracy are that it should be allowed only if you actually pay for it and that the record company have allowed this to happen.
hi sir i think that sharing files with copyright should be classed as breakin the law. as its just like stealing a cd to listen to and when ur bored of it you go and put i back. Maybe they should make you have a password to download it so if someone shares it the police can locate it back to u and then look whos talkin,lol. ye but then they should get a hefty fine like that woman. ppl may share files because they might not be bothered about breaking the law, don't know they are. i think that the police should also make more od=f an effort in publising the risks/ the law. Parents who hav suspisions should also tell the child. ppl may also do it cos they want to stay cool and there mates do it- peer presusre. the music downloads may also cause virus`. u can get itunes for like 80p so why should ppl pay £10 for songs on an album. i know the rights and wrongs so i wouldn't do it. but if i didn't i know what i would chose and it won't be the right choice.
Hi this is samantha in 8.0. i think that music piracy is wrong and, even worse that not many people get caught doing it. People shouldn't let other people on their files as anyone could look at it and it's just stupid. Also i think some people do it because they don't know that it's illegal to do it and they don't really understand what they are doing is wrong.
Hi this is Sarah Hullah here I dont undrestand why somebody wouldnt pay under a pound and have a possility of getting arrested or pay one pound to get a good working song and no posibilities of being arrested for stealing.Maybe people dont know that it is a crime and it should become more popular and open to let people understand the consequences,
